For CW33, modern production methods are used to support traditional materials and techniques by integrating components for weaving into the chair form. Timber ‘hooks’ for looping and returning the Danish cord are CNC routed into the front and back rails of the chair seat. The curved profiles and double side rails are cut in a similar fashion.
