Rhys Jones is a furniture maker and architectural designer specialising in projects that demand a high level of craftsmanship. Rhys’ practice provides a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to design and collaboration by working closely with other creative industries and manufacturers through an understanding of material and process.
Through his work, Rhys explores the interrelationship between theory and practice, hand and machine, and society and self. He has a fascination with timber chairs and woven surfaces, reflected in his practice as a continued exploration of de novo organic forms and weaving techniques.
